The default answer to more work is more people. The manifesto rejects the default. The answer is more leverage — infrastructure that lets one operator do what used to take a team.

Headcount adds coordination cost with every hire. Infrastructure adds capacity with none. A well-built system runs at 3am without a standup, doesn't need onboarding, and doesn't forget the context it had last week.

This isn't anti-team dogma. It's a claim about sequence: build the leverage first, and hire only into the gaps the leverage can't close. Most gaps close.

// TRANSMISSION №007 · WEEK 07

Five people without infrastructure spend most of their energy on each other. One operator with infrastructure spends all of it on the work.

The solo operator moves at the speed of decision, not the speed of consensus. No meetings to align, no approvals to route, no telephone game between the person who understands the problem and the person building the fix.

That's the whole wager of 1Commerce LLC: that in an era of cheap compute and capable tools, the constraint isn't hands, it's leverage. One operator with the right infrastructure beats five with none.

Headcount scales cost linearly. Infrastructure scales output for free.
